The Philippines is probably the only country where Christmas Season
is celebrated really early and observed until mid part of January. That
is why it is really not that strange to hear Christmas Carol as early as
October or even see a Christmas tree being put up early November. I
guess this is attributed to our culture and religion. But for whatever
reason, this activity is actually my favorite part of the year.
I am sure you will agree with me that Christmas is really the busiest time of the year. That is why to avoid unnecessary stress; it is better and wiser to plan way ahead of time.

I am sure you will agree with me that Christmas is really the busiest time of the year. That is why to avoid unnecessary stress; it is better and wiser to plan way ahead of time.
Here are some tips:
- If you are planning to decorate your house with Christmas trimmings, it is better to conceptualize first before heading to the mall. Have a solid concept and stick to it. Don't get lost along the many decorative concepts being displayed in the mall. Be true to what you like and execute it.
- Since Christmas is really a busy season, schedule dinner appointments with family ahead of time. Do not rely on your memory. If there are family members coming home for Christmas, make sure block your calendar for them. It is also the time of the year when dinner invites are abundant. Make sure your calendar is updated to avoid disappointing friends and family.
- List down all the people you need to buy gifts for. The important tip I can give here is to group them according to the type of gift you intend to give. A sample of this can be beauty and make up, clothing, jewelry and toys. This way you can schedule your trip to the mall properly without hurting your feet.
- Budget. Last minute shopping and preparation mean bigger chances that you will spend more based on what you have planned. Segregating your Christmas money at an early stage will benefit you in many ways you can imagine.
- If you and your family are planning for an out-of-the-country celebration, early purchase of airfare and accommodation would still be cheaper. Avoid last minutes decisions when it comes to travelling.
