However, the advantage of houses over these condominiums and townhouses is that compared to townhouses, houses are more affordable. Compared to condominiums, houses are more family oriented because of its size.

Compared to apartments, however, majority of Filipinos today live in apartments. The reason why apartments became popular is because of its affordability. However, apartments could only provide a temporary state of residence unlike condominiums and houses which offers a more permanent state of residence.

Disadvantages
The disadvantage is that these types of houses are usually found in the suburbs, which puts it away from major business and commercial districts, unlike most condominiums which is found inside or near these areas. Another disadvantage is that most homes in philippines and the land they sit on are expensive, and the combination of monthly mortgage, insurance, and property tax payments is greater than monthly rental costs.
