The living room is also used for entertainment for our family and friends to have more bonding together. However, if you have an uncomfortable furniture, this might kill the fun. And I'm sure you do not want to experience this kind of nightmare. Right?
2. The wrong paint color
Whether you realize it or not, the color of your wall matters the most. If you do not know what to paint on your wall, then you better consult an interior design for you to avoid costly mistakes. Of course, your walls can also give life to your home. And if you have the wrong paint color, then you might not like living in your home. And most importantly, a good wall color will give a good impression to whoever may visit in your home.
3. Bulky overhead lighting
One important factor when it comes to living room design is to create a sense of light and roominess. Obviously, you want the person who is in the living room to feel comfortable while taking some rest or entertaining his or herself. That means lighting is an important factor to have. Try not to have a bulky light, where it may look dull and your ceilings to appear lower that they are. Well, you can look for light fixtures with slim lines, open designs, and if you want to reflect light, then try something with crystals.
4. The wrong size rug
Whether you realize it or not, your rug is also one of the important factors you need to consider. It does not just add beauty to the room but is also give us the feeling of a cozy and comfortable living room. However, if you do not know how to choose the right rug for your living room, then you might not be satisfied with its outcome.
5. Following trends
Although trends may give us some living room design ideas, you have to know that not all patterns are good for our room. This might not give you the best look you want to have. Remember that each living room has a unique way of styling, arranging and decorating it to make it more appealing to look at. Some trends are not good to look at when it comes to doing it in our living room.
